BRAVE NEW ESSAY

In the brave new world there is a character that is Bernard who conforms outwardly while questioning inwardly. Bernard receives so much attention in the beginning until later on john takes over as john the savage. Bernard is a character in Aldous Huxley's. In the novel Bernard doesn't fit in is a member of the highest caste.
Bernard conforms outwardly to fit in with his peers, yet in questions inwardly about his perspective on the world state. Fanny Crowne refers to Bernard having too much "alcohol in his blood surrogate" and explaining behind his different nature. These qualities led Bernard to feel alienated from the others, and in effect to fit in as a normal person. Bernard tries to stay away from soma and meaningless sex. After he gained much fame for bringing the savage to London, then his character changed more to conform with his society.
Bernard bragged about his newfound fame with Helmholtz, even said that "he had six girls last week" giving him the illusion and senses of fitting in. Bernard states "what would it be like if I could, if I were free not enslaved by my conditioning. This reflection emphasize a center theme making him individualism. The struggle of trying to find his own identity, yet balancing his actions to be seamless. The world state suggests that individualism through self awareness is more important than society conformity.
Bernard tries to fit in and his flowing stream of internal questions, he paints a larger picture of the two opposite sides of society. The inward questioning side of Bernard is analogous to the society promoting individualism, but he attempts to conform promotes non-individualism. Bernard's character emphasizes to question inwardly about your being and your surrounding so that you can change your community. This follows the same idea where you cannot understand what good is without understanding what evil is. Individualism must outweigh social conformity because it cannot occur without change.
Aldous Huxley creates a world where only social conformity exists. Bernard possesses the opposite quality. He also faces struggles in trying to reach outwardly among his peers and also questioning his odd point of view. Also the two opposing sides sharply contrast with each other, and Bernard's case helps the audience grasp the central meaning of Brave New World.

A BRAVE NEW END OF THE WORLD

The first big idea of the end was that john was harming himself because he felt so much guilt that he was whipping, and starving himself. Another big idea was that he was on soma and when he noticed that he died was that he hanged himself.

THE END BRAVE NEW WORLD

After Bernard and Helmholtz were exiled john decides to run off to be alone. John decides to go in a lighthouse outside London. John thought it was going to be more abandon. John then starts whipping himself, and vomiting. He also tries to strives to exorcise the guilt he feels for Linda's death and his horror of sexual contact with Lenina. In my opinion the way the end ended was shocking on how he died that was hanging himself.

BRAVE NEW WORLD THEME

In my opinion I think that the theme was about animal imagery. Animal imagery in brave new world is used to define the characteristics of a human using animal instincts and behaviors. In the first chapter there's the repetition of "straight from the horse's mouth". There was also a claim that "any cow" could merely hatch out embryos. Animalistic traits really comes into play when it comes to sex. John is disgusted and misses the purpose behind it: animals are tame; animals can be controlled. In chapter 18 when john was whipping himself for having dirty thoughts the descending helicopters are described as "locusts" and then "grasshoppers". They throw food at john like if he's an animal in the zoo.

My big question is how to become a Veterinary? One thing I did over the break was researching online such as Veterinary school, other online places of the requirements and why veterinary is important. I learned that it is a total of 7 to 9 years of school, need strong science, math, communication skills, and especially to handle emotions. There is a connection between Veterinary and Brave New World that is Animal Imagery. My next move is to get more involved with animals such as helping in animal shelters and other places that will help me gain more experience, but most importantly is how might my life be transformed if I treated myself with the same love and kindness that I offer to the animals I care for.

MY BIG QUESTION RESEARCH

Some people think research is boring because they have to do it for a class, and it's usually about something that's not interesting.  But today I did research and it was awesome.  Here's how I did it. I started researching what are the requirements I need and how many years will it take. I got to earn a bachelors degree four years of college(veterinary school). A university up to two to five years for medical and surgery. This career is a commitment a total of years is seven to nine years. The requirements are strong science, math, communication skills, how to handle emotions from pets and people.

Does it help to talk about the reading with people who are also interested in the book?  How does it feel when they know what you're talking about?  How does it feel when they have no idea what you're talking about?

I think it does help to talk about the reading with people who are interested in the book because you will be explaining to them more about the chapter. It feels that you can understand and catch up on what is happening in the book. It feels like you are left out because you have no idea what is going on in the chapter.

What do you want to learn and get good at in this course between now and June?

What I want to learn more about is things about how I will manage or what will I do when I graduate from high school to become independent. I think I would have to ask others about there experience and how they managed to become independent once they are out of high school.

The recent things I have about my big question is about how what I want to become in the future and what I will need in order to succeed. No I really don’t talk or think about it because my career is to become a veterinary but there is many people who say why? Or they question my career just because I love animals/pets.

Something I learned about my morning routine is that when my alarm goes off i snooze it at least 2-3 times. The 3 habits or practices that I will start doing is to wake up when my alarm goes off without snoozing it. Something that I'm going to continue to do is to take a quick warm shower. Something else that I want to start doing is to eat breakfast before heading to school.

READING ME

Do you read when you’re not in school? What do you read? If you don’t read, why not?
No I do not read when I am not in school, but a couple of days ago I went to the public library to get book about what I want my career to be in the future. The books I checked out where about veterinary medicine and to learn more about dogs and cats. I don’t read because I really didn’t like readying maybe it’s because I won’t understand the book unless I get an explanation of  what’s been happening.

My life during high school has been alright not much excitement but I think that after high school it will get harder. I think after the day of graduation some things will change except the things the love like activities but what changes will be how they will have to pay bills. In order to have things organized is to have a budget planned out to save money if needed and the rest of the money is to pay bills. My expectations is to do my best, get through college/university to get my degree even if others around me don;t want me to succeed.

BRAVE NEW WORLD

There was a time when the future seemed like it was guaranteed to be brighter and better than the present.  Is it still?  How do you see the future?  What is your view based on-- your own experience, movies, books, headlines, what adults say...?  Do you think it's set in stone or is the future something we can influence by making different choices in the present? 

 I see the future different such as how people will treat other people that aren't citizens or come from a different place. I think that movies will increase with different types of movies but there will be a decrease on books because now everyone does things on the internet. I think we can make better choices by choosing how we want our future to be such as good instead of bad things going on.

THE INTERDISCIPLINARY

The three subjects that I will be doing to become a Veterinary is animal science, chemistry, math and physics. These are all related on how you can know more about the animals. If they need surgery you will need to know your math and animal parts in order to do surgery. There are many other things that a Veterinary needs to know such as science and communication. These subjects are necessary in order to be a Veterinary. Since I want to build my own business the other subjects I need is too know about Economics, computer science, and Business Management.

BIG QUESTION

How can I become a Veterinary and build my own business? I think that in order to become what I want to become and build by own business I have to study really hard such as go to college and go to a university. In total of years to become a Veterinary takes up about 8-9 years. Since I want to build my own business after I graduate I have to be committed to what I'm about to build that is work most hours and to be prepared of what can happen such as money and consumers.

Macbeth Essay

             Imagine that one day you were respected and all of the sudden you are doing things that made people to not give you respect. Well something like that happened to Macbeth in a play that Shakespeare wrote. Macbeth is about drama but it is also about how someone would do anything in order to seek power. In the beginning there was an appearance of a trio of witches. The witches promised him fame and honor withholding important information of consequences that follow. The witches told him what was going to happen but he hears them out but ignores the rest information.

            In the play of Shakespeare there was a male person called Macbeth. Macbeth was a respected person, he is described as brave, fearless, and yet to become ambition. He has won recognition of his bravery in battle, his defeat of the king of Norway, and the Rebellious Macdonwald. The first of the witches bring out his ambitious nature but struggle by killing the king. Lady Macbeth convinced him to commit the first of his evil deeds. Lady Macbeth influences in Macbeth's' decisions.

           Macbeth was respected until he went from a war hero to a murdering villains. Macbeth was becoming more corrupt, evil after killing a person by cutting him in half and putting his head on a stick to send a warning message. Macbeth wants to become king of Scotland and lady Macbeth wants to be queen. Macbeth has to kill the king in order to get a higher power but he won't kill him. 

He changed his plans for sure killing the king but he became paranoid that everyone is out to get him.

         Lady Macbeth makes sure that the people think Macbeth his an "Innocent Flower" to hide his serpent in his heart.Macbeth had his suspicious of Banquo, Macbeth wants Banquo and his son murdered. Witches greet Banquo that he is less than Macduff and greater, "Not so happy, yet much happier. The witches said that Banquo is less but greater man. The witches tell Macbeth he cant be harmed by anyone "of woman born" but Macduff was surgically removed from the womb.

          When the battle happened, Macduff confronted Macbeth and he cuts Macbeth's head off. Macduff shows the head to the people and more of them were happy that he was dead. At the end Malcolm mentions that lady Macbeth committed suicide. This tone of the play is dark, ominous and unnatural crimes. This play was full of surprises such as how Macbeth went from good to bad since he met the witches. It was also impressive how people were killed in this play and the rest of the people were happy about their deaths.

FINISH HIM

Explain the end of Macbeth.  Why do you think Shakespeare chose to conclude the play this way? The end of Macbeth was tragic how people were relief when Macduff killed Macbeth by having his head in his hands showing the rest of the people. I think that Shakespeare chooses to conclude the play such as with drama. In Hamlet it was how everyone died and only one staying alive to tell the story. In the play of Macbeth a few die such as Macbeth being killed. I think that play was good because what Macbeth did he got karma back but it was a surprise when it meant that people were relief when they saw his head cut off.

GETTING TO THE POINT OF MACBETH

 "It seems like every great work of literature has at least one main idea that readers take away.  In Macbeth, the main idea has to do with the destruction of when ambition goes unchecked by moral constrains. Macbeth is not naturally inclined to commit evil things but he really wants power and advancement. Macbeth makes an important point about the nature of violence even those done for selfless reasons.

1.       Banquo says: Thou hast it now—King, Cawdor, Glamis, all/ As the weird women promised, and I fear/ Thou played’st most foully, for’t.

·        Literal Interpretation: Shows why Macbeth fears Banquo and wants him dead.

·         Symbolic/Thematic Interpretation:Fear

2.       Macbeth says: They hailed him father to a line of kings./ Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown/ And put a barren scepter in my grip.

·        Literal Interpretation: Two aware that the witches' prophesy suggests a conflict over power including banquo's heirs.

·         Symbolic/Thematic Interpretation:Witches

3.       Lady Macbeth says: Naught’s had, all’s spent,/ Where our desire is got without content./ ‘Tis safer to be that which we destroy/ Than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy.

·        Literal Interpretation: If you get what your want  and you're still not happy. you've spent everything and gained nothing.

4.       Macbeth says: Better be with thee,/ Whom we, to gain our peace, have sent peace,/ Than on the torture of the mind to lie/ In restless ecstasy.

Explain how you make important decisions?
I think how I make important decisions is choosing to do the good or bad. I think that an important decision can be picking what you want out of what others would want to do the opposite.

PACK YOUR BAGS, WE'RE GOING ON A GUILT TRIP

Have you ever done something that made you feel guilty?
 There was a time when I got into an argument with my mom that I was so mad I said some horrible things. I felt so guilty that when I wasn't upset anymore, I went to go apologize for the things I said during the argument.

I'm Sold

What is so persuasive about persuasion?  How is it that some people seem to manage to get their way?  How did you come to believe what you believe?
  I think that persuading someone to do or believe something is to know their experience. It can also be the use of temptation. I think what I came to believe is the stories or the evidence to prove what they are saying.

The beginning of the Macbeth, Ecplained

In my English class we started to read the play Macbeth Act 1. In the beginning it shows that is going to a dark, mysterious play. They symbolize darkness, chaos, and conflict. What seems fair might actually be foul, and what seems foul might actually be fair. I think it is like a set up in the theme "Appearance versus reality. In every battle, there is a loser and a winner. Winning will become a major theme in the play. It is a moral battle between what is right and what is wrong. I think three woman are witches they have spirit animals created by Satan. It might symbolize evil and that this might suggest the action of the play. In Scene II the bloody man reports saying that is was a difficult battle and Macbeth killed Macdonwald. Macdonwald is worthy rebel because he had fault soldiers and horsemen and was very lucky. Macbeth and Banquo are describes "as sparrows, eagles, or the hare, the lion""as cannons over charg'd with double cracks""They meant to bathe in reeking wounds" The bird motif appears multiple times throughout the play. This is an allusion to Golgotha, which is where Jesus was crucified. They were going to make this battle more famous than that. I think that this would be very important part of Scottish history and a large part of story line.Scottish was fighting Norway with a smudge bit of Ireland. Witches talk in poetry is because it's like they're casting a spells. The witches predict that Macbeth will be king. The dramatic irony is this is that they predicted Banquo's children to be kind. The witches predict that Banquo will be "Not so Happy, yet much happier"than Macbeth. This is ironic because Macbeth feels that the more powerful he is, the happier he will be but Banquo will be less powerful but happier. I don't really like Macbeth because he kills someone to become king. Banquo is okay because he seems more nicer and more down to earth. It shows us that Macbeth is more of a dreamer where Banquo is more realistic. The message that Ross brings is the news that Macbeth has been appointed thane of Cawdor. Banquo is telling Macbeth that the agents of evil often tell us part of the truth to lead us to our destruction. They earn trust by telling us the truth about little things, but then they betray us when it will damage us the most.

SHAKESPEAREAN BADASS

In my English class we started reading Macbeth and the question my teacher asked us was to describe the first impression of Macbeth. My first impression was that Macbeth was a strong brave leader, can be terribly determined, and ruthless when necessary.

MACBETH N' ME

I was doing a research on Macbeth for my English class, and I think that something that might be interesting on the play is the curse of Macbeth. The curse is called Scottish curse where speaking the name of Macbeth inside a theater would cause a disaster.

Paul Simon's Graceland...

Today in my English class my teacher put us a video of Paul Simon's that is was actually interesting. My experience is that there are people who don't get along with people who aren't white. In the video it showed where there was a group that would play music and instruments and a white person that is singing. I was reading up on Macbeth that makes me think that it applies in the era of President Trump on how getting what you want, and willing to do anything in order to obtain it such as power. I was reading it I got half way when I realized that it was about obtaining power by doing anything and get rid of anyone that crosses their path.
