My big question is how to become a Veterinary? One thing I did over the break was researching online such as Veterinary school, other online places of the requirements and why veterinary is important. I learned that it is a total of 7 to 9 years of school, need strong science, math, communication skills, and especially to handle emotions. There is a connection between Veterinary and Brave New World that is Animal Imagery. My next move is to get more involved with animals such as helping in animal shelters and other places that will help me gain more experience, but most importantly is how might my life be transformed if I treated myself with the same love and kindness that I offer to the animals I care for.

BNW READING NOTES CHAPTER 18

•Helmholtz and Bernard say goodbye to John
•John ask mond if he can go with them to the islands
•Mond says no because he wants to continue the experiment
*John plants his own garden and preforms rituals of self punishment
•One day Delta-Minus sees John whipping himself
*John kicks one reporter and angrily demands to respect his solitude
*The newspapers publish the incident and John response with increasing violence
•One day John was thinking of Lenina and rushes to whip himself
*Lenina steps out of a helicopter and walks toward him but he calls her a strumpet and continues to whip her
*John collapses because of the soma
*The next day he remembers everything with horror and he then discovers that he has hanged him self

*John and Mond continue to argue about human experience and institutions that the world has abolished
•Mond shows jong his collection of banned religious writings
*Mond argues that in a prosperous youthful society, there are no losses and no need of religion
*John asks mond if it is natural to feel the existence of god
•John protests that if the people believe in god they wouldn’t be able to degraded by their pleasant vices
•John also claims that the reason for “everything noble and fin and heroi”
*Mond says that no one is degraded they just live by different set of values
*Christianity without tears-that’s what soma is”
•John declares that he wants god, poetry, real danger, freedom, goodness, and sin
•Mond tells John that his wishes will lead to unhappiness
*John agrees but he still wants his wishes

BNW READING NOTES CHAPTER 16

•Mond tells John “so you don’t much like civilization Me.Savage”
•John is surprised to find that Mond has read Shakespeare
*Mond points out that Shakespeare is a forbidden text
*John says to Mond that such literature is banned for many number of reasons
*John also says that Shakespeare stories are based on experiences and passions that don’t exist
•John challenges the director by asking whether the citizens couldn’t at least all be created as Alphas
•He says the vast majority of the population has to be degraded and made stupid that they will be happy with their place in life
*Mond explains that technology has to be kept for the happy and stable society
*Mond tells Helmholtz and Bernard that they will be exiled
*Bernard begs him to change his sentence
*Mond says Bernard doesn’t know that exile is actually a reward
•Mond sag he prefers the work he does in managing the happiness of others

•John encounters two groups of delta twins picking up their soma rations

*He recalls “How many goodly creatures are there here!

•John cries out for them to stop taking the soma rations

*He tells them it’s poison and meant to enslave them

•There was a man that calls Bernard to infrom him about what is going on

MY BIG QUESTION RESEARCH

Some people think research is boring because they have to do it for a class, and it's usually about something that's not interesting.  But today I did research and it was awesome.  Here's how I did it. I started researching what are the requirements I need and how many years will it take. I got to earn a bachelors degree four years of college(veterinary school). A university up to two to five years for medical and surgery. This career is a commitment a total of years is seven to nine years. The requirements are strong science, math, communication skills, how to handle emotions from pets and people.

•Henry invites Lenina to a feely but she says no
•he noticed she was upset, she might need a “violent passion surrogate”
•she complains to fanny that she doesn’t know what it is like to sleep with a savage
*Fanny warns her that she can become obsessed over one man
*Lenina says she only wants John, other men can’t distract her
•Lenina takes soma and visits John to seduce him
*John goes on his knees and talks to her about marriage and love
•The talk about commitment and growing old horrifies her

* Linda take some continually and is in the state of intoxication
• Mond thinks he might teach Bernard a lesson
• Seeing dozens of twins is a factory sickens John

•She takes him to a geeky to tell him a story
*John refused to have sex with her
* He locks himself in his room and reads Shakespeare

BOOK CLUB OF ME

Does it help to talk about the reading with people who are also interested in the book?  How does it feel when they know what you're talking about?  How does it feel when they have no idea what you're talking about?

I think it does help to talk about the reading with people who are interested in the book because you will be explaining to them more about the chapter. It feels that you can understand and catch up on what is happening in the book. It feels like you are left out because you have no idea what is going on in the chapter.

ENDGAME

What do you want to learn and get good at in this course between now and June?

What I want to learn more about is things about how I will manage or what will I do when I graduate from high school to become independent. I think I would have to ask others about there experience and how they managed to become independent once they are out of high school.
